Saudi Arabia launched e-Visa in Bangladesh
Saudi Arabia's new e-visa system has been implemented from Bangladesh in continuation of operations for a year. Saudi Ambassador to Dhaka Isa bin Yusuf Al Duhailan has confirmed the cancellation of the visa sticker system and the introduction of the e-visa system at the Saudi embassy in Dhaka on Monday (May 1).
At the time, he said, the cost of the visa sticker is subject to this and there is a risk of making a mistake. But in the new e-Visa system, the visa will be printed on A-4 size paper and below, there will be a barcode, where all the information is stored. Moreover, the information on the visa sticker was written only in Arabic, but in the e-visa system, since the information is in Arabic and English, Bangladeshis can easily understand how many days the visa is valid for or what type of visa it is. And so the Saudi ambassador thinks that workers, employers, medical centers and others will benefit from this method.
Isa bin Yusuf Al Duhailan expressed hope that brokers who falsely entice and harass workers in this way will be eliminated.
He said, earlier, e-visa was available for Bangladeshis who sought visa for Umrah. But from now e-visa can be taken for all types of visas.
In response to a question, the Saudi ambassador said, Saudi Arabia has rescued 6,000 people from 100 countries from Sudan. Citizens of Bangladesh have also been rescued and brought. Anyone from Sudan can seek asylum in Saudi Arabia.
Shahidul Alam, Director General of Manpower, Employment and Training Bureau (BMET), Shafiqur Rahman, Director General of West Asia Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and others were present as guests in the event.
It was informed in the event that Bangladeshis can get e-visa even for visiting Saudi Arabia. But in that case you must have US, UK or Schengen visa.
